The Cask Ale Nut and Tail is a traditional dispense fitting designed to connect compatible beer hose to a 3/4" BSP cask tap.
Used in real ale and cask beer dispense systems, the nut screws onto the threaded outlet of the cask tap while the tail provides the connection for compatible flexible beer hose.
Ideal for pubs, breweries, beer festivals, beer engines and temporary cask ale dispense installations.
The fitting is designed for use with compatible 3/4" BSP threaded cask taps, including traditional straight, L-shaped and Y-shaped cask tap arrangements where the connection is suitable.
The nut allows the fitting to be secured to the cask tap, while the hose tail connects the tap to the flexible product line leading to the beer engine or other compatible dispense equipment.
Common applications include:
The 3/4" BSP nut attaches to the compatible threaded outlet of the cask tap.
The tail section then provides a connection point for suitable flexible beer hose, allowing the product line to run from the cask towards the beer engine or other dispense equipment.
The hose should be correctly sized for the tail and secured using an appropriate hose clip or retaining method where required.
This fitting is designed for compatible 3/4" BSP cask taps.
Check both the cask tap thread and the required beer hose size before ordering, particularly when replacing an existing nut and tail.
The appropriate sealing washer should also be fitted where required to provide the correct seal at the threaded connection.
