Armaflex 15mm Pipe Insulation is a flexible closed-cell insulation designed for insulating 15mm pipework in draught beer cooling, remote cooler and chilled water systems.
Ideal for professional pub, bar and cellar installations, the insulation helps reduce heat gain into chilled pipework while also helping to control condensation on cold water lines.
Each length is supplied as a 2 metre section for fitting around compatible 15mm pipework.
Remote beer cooling systems commonly use 15mm pipework for chilled water circulation, including flow and return lines feeding beer pythons, fonts and other cooling equipment.
Insulating these pipes helps reduce unwanted heat transfer between the chilled water and the surrounding cellar or bar environment.
The closed-cell construction also helps reduce condensation forming on cold pipework.
Common applications include:
Armaflex uses a closed-cell structure designed to reduce thermal transfer while limiting moisture penetration.
This makes it particularly suitable for chilled pipework where both heat gain and surface condensation need to be controlled.
Within a typical remote beer cooler installation, chilled water is circulated from the cooler through insulated pipework or a beer python.
Armaflex can be used to insulate exposed 15mm chilled water flow and return pipes, helping maintain the efficiency of the cooling circuit between different sections of the system.
Multiple lengths can be ordered for larger installations.
The insulation should be fitted closely around the 15mm pipework, with joints and openings properly sealed where required.
For chilled water installations, particular attention should be given to joints and gaps in the insulation where condensation could otherwise occur.
This product is supplied for 15mm pipework. Check the dimensions of your existing pipe and the required insulation thickness before ordering.
Cooling performance will depend on the complete installation, including cooler capacity, water temperature, circulation rate, pipe length, ambient temperature and insulation of the overall system.
