The John Guest 3/8" Stem Elbow is a compact 90-degree push-fit connector designed for professional draught beer, beverage, gas and compressed air systems.
Unlike a standard equal elbow, this fitting has a 3/8" push-fit socket on one side and a 3/8" stem on the other. The stem can be inserted directly into another compatible 3/8" push-fit fitting, providing a neat 90° connection without requiring an additional length of pipe between the fittings.
Ideal for cellar installations, beer dispensers, keg systems and other drinks dispense equipment where space is limited.
The John Guest Stem Elbow combines a push-fit tube connection with a smooth stem at a 90° angle.
The 3/8" push-fit socket accepts compatible 3/8" OD tubing, while the 3/8" stem pushes directly into another compatible 3/8" push-fit connector.
This makes it particularly useful for connecting fittings directly together while changing the direction of the pipework.
Common applications include:
A stem elbow is different from a standard equal elbow.
A 3/8" equal elbow normally has two 3/8" push-fit sockets, allowing two separate lengths of 3/8" pipe to be joined at 90°.
This 3/8" stem elbow has one push-fit socket and one smooth stem. The stem is designed to push directly into another compatible push-fit fitting.
This can reduce the number of fittings and short pieces of pipe required in compact installations.
Insert compatible 3/8" OD pipe fully into the push-fit socket.
The 3/8" stem end can then be pushed directly into a compatible 3/8" push-fit connection on another fitting or piece of equipment.
Always ensure the pipe is cut cleanly and square before inserting it into the fitting.
This is a 3/8" stem elbow, not a conventional 3/8" equal elbow.
One side accepts 3/8" OD pipe, while the other is a 3/8" stem designed to insert into a compatible push-fit socket.
