PortaPint 150C XL Draught Beer Dispenser – Triple Tap 150L/hr Beer Cooler

The PortaPint 150C XL Draught Beer Dispenser is a heavy-duty, high-capacity triple-tap portable beer cooler with a built-in air compressor, designed for festivals, events, mobile bars and high-volume draught drinks dispense.

Capable of dispensing up to 150 litres per hour – approximately 260 pints – the PortaPint 150C XL is the largest-capacity model in the PortaPint range and is designed for applications where rapid service and multiple dispense points are required.

The dry cooling system requires no water bath or ice bank, making the 150C XL a practical self-contained solution for temporary and mobile draught installations.

PortaPint 150C XL Triple Tap Beer Dispenser

The PortaPint 150C XL combines a powerful dry cooling system, three compensator beer taps and an integrated air compressor within one unit.

The three dispense points allow up to three compatible kegged products to be connected and served from the same dispenser.

Depending on the setup, this could include:

  • Three different beers
  • Beer and cider combinations
  • Multiple products from the same brand
  • Other compatible kegged drinks

Up to 150 Litres / 260 Pints Per Hour

The PortaPint 150C XL has a maximum rated output of:

  • 150 litres per hour
  • Approximately 260 pints per hour

This high cooling capacity makes the dispenser particularly suitable for busy event bars where a high volume of draught drinks needs to be served over relatively short periods.

Actual output will depend on incoming product temperature, required serving temperature, ambient conditions and the pattern of dispense.

Triple Tap Draught Dispenser

Unlike the smaller twin-tap PortaPint models, the 150C XL features three independent dispense taps.

This provides additional serving capacity and allows up to three compatible products to be connected simultaneously.

The triple-tap arrangement is particularly useful for:

  • Festival bars
  • High-volume mobile bars
  • Brewery events
  • Sporting events
  • Large weddings
  • Corporate hospitality
  • Temporary event bars

Built-In Air Compressor

The integrated air compressor provides dispense pressure where compressed air is suitable for the keg system being used.

This can remove the need for a separate external compressor and is particularly useful with KeyKeg and compatible bag-type keg systems, where the driving air remains separated from the beverage.

Using the PortaPint 150C XL with KeyKegs

The PortaPint 150C XL is particularly well suited to KeyKeg dispense.

With a KeyKeg, compressed air applies pressure outside the internal product bag, meaning the driving air does not come directly into contact with the beverage.

This allows the PortaPint's integrated compressor to be used as the driving pressure without requiring bottled beverage gas.

The actual usable life of an opened KeyKeg will depend on the beverage, storage conditions and manufacturer's recommendations.

Using Conventional Steel Kegs

The built-in compressor can also provide dispense pressure for compatible conventional steel kegs where the product will be consumed over a short period, such as at an event.

When compressed air is used with a conventional steel keg, oxygen is introduced into the keg and comes into contact with the beverage.

For longer-term dispense, use the correct CO2 or mixed beverage gas specified by the brewery or beverage supplier.

Dry Cooling Technology

The PortaPint 150C XL uses dry cooling technology, eliminating the need for a conventional water tank or ice bank.

Product passes through the internal cooling system before reaching the taps, providing a self-contained solution that can be transported between different event locations.

Triple Compensator Taps

Three compensator taps provide adjustable flow control at each dispense point.

This allows the flow rate to be adjusted independently for each connected product.

Correct product temperature, keg pressure, pipe size and line configuration are still important for achieving a properly balanced draught system.

  • Appropriate keg couplers

Important

The integrated compressor supplies compressed air, not CO2 or mixed beverage gas.

Compressed air is particularly suitable for KeyKegs and compatible bag-type systems. For conventional steel kegs, it should generally be limited to short-term dispense where the product will be consumed quickly.

For longer-term steel keg dispense, use the brewery's recommended bottled beverage gas.

For best results and a long shelf life (8 weeks or more) use keykegs and the built in air compressor of the dispenser. Lots of keykeg products can be found here The Keg Company
