The Draught Beer Party Pump Dispenser provides a simple way to serve draught beer directly from a compatible keg without requiring a separate gas cylinder, regulator or electric beer cooler.
Ideal for parties, events, temporary bars and mobile dispense, the hand-operated pump introduces pressure into the keg system, allowing beer to be dispensed through the connected tap.
The keg must be properly chilled before use and kept cold during service, as the party pump does not contain a cooling system.
A keg party pump is one of the simplest ways to create a temporary draught beer setup.
Once connected to a compatible keg, manually operating the pump provides the pressure required to dispense the beer. This removes the need for a separate CO2 or mixed gas cylinder for short-term dispense applications.
Its compact design makes it particularly useful where a full conventional draught system is not practical.
Common applications include:
A conventional draught beer system uses bottled CO2, mixed gas or another pressure source to push beer from the keg towards the tap.
A manual party pump uses hand-pumped air to create the required pressure instead.
Connect the appropriate party pump setup to the keg, open the dispense tap and operate the pump as required to maintain sufficient pressure for serving.
Avoid excessive pumping, as unnecessarily high pressure can result in faster dispense and increased foaming.
The party pump does not chill the beer.
For good draught dispense, the keg should be properly chilled before connecting the pump and kept cold throughout service.
If the keg becomes too warm, increased foaming and poor dispense are likely regardless of the pressure applied by the pump.
When a conventional keg is pressurised using a manual air pump, air is introduced into the keg. Once air comes into contact with the beer, oxidation and deterioration can occur.
For this reason, conventional keg beer dispensed using a party pump is best suited to short-term service where the keg will be consumed promptly, rather than being stored for an extended period after tapping.
With compatible KeyKeg or bag-type keg systems, the driving air is separated from the beverage by the internal bag. The suitability of the party pump will depend on the keg and coupler configuration being used.
Kegs use different valve and coupler systems, including:
Always check which keg connection your beer requires before ordering or configuring a party pump system.
A party pump is particularly useful when you need a basic, portable keg dispense system without transporting gas cylinders and regulators.
For longer-term installations, high-volume service or situations where the keg needs to remain connected for an extended period, a conventional gas-powered draught system will generally be more appropriate.
